Sholto Kynoch

Sholto Kynoch
Pianist

Sholto Kynoch is in demand as a chamber musician and song accompanist, regularly performing with many outstanding instrumentalists and singers.

This recital is the fifth instalment in our complete survey of the songs of Hugo Wolf, and includes settings of Heine and Reinick.

The concert will be recorded for release on the ‘Oxford Lieder Live’ label, as part of the Complete Wolf Songs project. Volume 4 in the series will also be released at this concert.

Daniel Norman is a familiar face to Oxford Lieder audiences, and he and Sholto Kynoch are joined by the outstanding baritone William Dazeley. The settings of Heine and Reinick, alongside a handful of settings of Shakespeare and Byron, span most of Wolf's compositional life, encompassing the youthful, Schumann-influenced style that we heard back in October and his much later, more mature compositions.

Soprano to be announced.
