Internationally renowned, Joan Rodgers is equally established in opera, concert, and as a recitalist.  After graduating from the University of Liverpool with an Honours degree in Russian she entered the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and in 1981 she won the Kathleen Ferrier Memorial Scholarship.

Pianist

Roger Vignoles is internationally recognised as one of the world’s most distinguished piano accompanists and musicians of today. Having read Music at Magdalene College, Cambridge, he joined the Royal Opera House as a repetiteur and then completed his training with the renowned Viennese-born teacher Paul Hamburger.

Two of today’s best-loved singers join forces with leading accompanist Roger Vignoles in a glorious programme of songs by Schumann, Brahms, Wolf and Mahler. All three artists are well known to Oxford Lieder audiences, but this is a rare chance to hear them grace the platform together.
