Individual giving
Friends of Oxford Lieder: Benefactors & Individual Giving
The Friends and particularly its higher-level benefactors play a very significant part in Oxford Lieder's work. The year-round programme benefits a wide range of people and age groups, and the annual Festival best demonstrates the breadth and depth of our Music and Education & Outreach programmes. Your support for the recitals, activities and projects each year will help to continue and develop the work in several key areas. You can choose to be associated with one or more of these. The higher levels of Friends of Oxford Lieder support are:
Heroes - from £2,500
Support a Celebrity Recital, a particular aspect of the Festival such as a live CD recording, or a singing project for local primary school children
Muses - from £1,000
Support a Rising Star, either singer or pianist, a pair of daytime hour-long recitals, free admission performances in Oxford, or the hire of pianos for the Festival
Sweethearts - from £250
Support Young Artists in recital in the Festival or The Spring Series, a project for community participation, a Master Class, a Master Course participant, or be a partner in commissioning a composer for a new work.
Wanderers - from £100
Support the Pre-Concert Talks programme, or community outreach work such as singing workshops for both younger and older people & free ticket schemes for the disabled or disadvantaged.
Songsters - from £50
Support the general programme of Oxford Lieder
All donors at these levels are part of the Friends scheme and automatically qualify for Friends benefits (see Friends page), but a number of additional benefits will apply, some according to the level of support, such as:
- Acknowledgement by name in the Festival Programme Friends & Supporters page
- Acknowledgement as supporter of recital(s) or project
- Complimentary or discounted tickets to recitals
- A complimentary copy of an Oxford Lieder Live! CD
- Invitations to special fundraising recitals
- The chance to meet artists and the Artistic Director
- Witnessing projects in progress in training, education and community outreach
All gifts from UK taxpayers qualify for Gift Aid increasing the value of your support by 25p in the pound. Higher-rate taxpayers can also reclaim additional personal tax relief. Oxford Lieder is a registered charity no. 1111458. Gift Aid and Standing Order forms are available at all events, or on request from Peter Burrows, Hon.
