Annie Fredriksson is a mezzosoprano from Sweden and is currently in her first year at the RCM International Opera Studio, studying with Janis Kelly on a full RCM scholarship. Annie is generously supported by the Charles Brancini Award, Opperby Stokowski Scholarship, a Henry Wood award, Sandrews Award, Gålöstiftelse and by the Josephine Baker Trust.
Her operatic experiences have included the RCMIOS ; Octavian in Strauss´s Der Rosenkavalier, the Fox in Janacek’ s The Cunning Little Vixen RCM Opera scenes, La Countessa in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro Operastudio 67, Stockholm. Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte Operastudio 67, Helena in Britten´s A Midsummer Night´s Dream, Operastudio 67. Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel by Humperdinkt, Idamande in Mozart´s, Idomeneo, Operastudio 67. Xerxes in Händel´s Xerxes, Operastudio 67. Annie has also sung in the chorus for Orpheus in the Underworld by Offenbach (RCM) where she also covered the role as Venus. In May of 2011 Annie joined the RCM International Opera school to Paris to sing the role as Lady Saphir in Gillbert & Sullivans opera, Patience.
