Camillo Radicke
Born in Dresden, the pianist Camillo Radicke received his musical education in his home town from Regina Metzner, Amadeus Webersinke and Arkadi Zenziper.
He won First Prizes in the International Piano Competitions from Palma de Mallorca (F.Chopin) 1990, Athens (Maria Callas) 1992 und Vercelli (G.B.Viotti ) 1992. Since then he has given numerous concerts as Soloist and Chamber Musician in nearly all European countries, the Middle East, Cuba, South America, Japan, Korea and in the United Arab Emirates.
He has been a guest artist at such international festivals as Salzburger Festspiele, Klavierfestival Ruhr, Beethoven - Fest Bonn, Chopin - Festival Duszniki, BBC Lunchtime Concerts London, Festival Great Irish Houses, Festival Costa Verde, Al Bustan Festival Beirut, Haydn - Festspiele Eisenstadt, Dresdner Musikfestspiele, MDR - Musiksommer and at the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg.
In concerts with orchestras including Dresdner Philharmonie, Staatskapelle Dresden, Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, Münchner Kammerorchester and the RAI Symphony Orchestra Turin, he has worked together with conductors like Marek Janowski, Gerd Albrecht, Michel Plasson, Juri Temirkanow, Tamas Vasary, Bernhard Klee, Ludwig Güttler and Jörg-Peter Weigle.
Concert halls he has performed include Teatro Colon Buenos Aires, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Berliner Philharmonie, Musikverein Vienna, Tonhalle Zürich, Semperoper and Frauenkirche in Dresden.
Camillo Radicke was and is one of the constant accompanist of the singers Peter Schreier, Olaf Bär and Juliane Banse.
In the Mozart Year 2006 he performed all 26 Sonatas for Piano and Violin by W.A.Mozart together with Wolfgang Hentrich (1. Concertmaster of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra). A selection of them have been published on CD. Also in 2006, Camillo Radicke was Jury member of the ARD Music Competition in Munich - the biggest international Music Competition worldwide.
