Daniel Swain
Daniel Swain read Music at St. Anne's College, Oxford before taking up a Scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music with Michael Dussek and Michael Young. He graduated with the prestigious Dip RAM qualification and the 'Vice Principal's Award for Excellence' in 2005.
Daniel appears regularly in recitals, masterclasses, and competitions throughout the UK and abroad. He has performed with internationally acclaimed artists such as cellists Alexander Baillie and Alice Neary, the tenor Daniel Norman, and violinist Hideko Udagawa. Most recently, Daniel has given performances in Sweden and France, as well as at the Norfolk & Norwich and Machynlleth Festivals. Forthcoming engagements include recitals in Winchester, Cheltenham, Warwick and Birmingham as well as other venues around the UK as a 'Live Music Now!' Fellowship artist.
As an accompanist Daniel has won prizes for his performances of English Song, was awarded the MBF 'Henry Richardson Scholarship' in 2004 for his performances of Lieder, as well as the RAM Club accompanist's prize in 2005.
