Edwige Herchenroder
Edwige Herchenroder is a French pianist specializing in vocal accompaniment and based in London. She graduated from Ecole Normale de musique de Paris and Conservatoirede Paris before completing her postgraduate studies with Michael Dussek, Malcolm Martineau and Audrey Hyland at the Royal Academy of Music, London.
She is a member of Academy Song Circle, a Young Songmaker’2011 and has participated in masterclasses with Graham Johnson, Julius Drake, Roger Vignoles, Helmut Deutsch, Barbara Bonney, Angelika Kirschlager, Ann Murray, José van Dam and Robert Tear. She has been awarded many accompaniment and duo prizes among Elena Gerhardt Lieder Accompanist Prize and the ' 1st prize Oxford Lieder Young Artist platform’ with Sónia Grané – soprano. For the academic year 2011-2012, Edwige holds the Academy’s Hodgson Fellowship and regularly accompanies in the Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff.
