Olja Dakic

Soprano Olja Dakic studied in Belgrade (where she was awarded the Anita Mezetowa Prize for best student of the university) and in Vienna (at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst). She then moved to Berlin, studying at the Universität der Künste and and Hochschule fur Musik “Hans Eisler”. She is currently working on a PhD on the history and reception of Balkan Opera, based at the Technische Universitaet Berlin.

She has performed extensively on both opera and concert stages throughout Europe, including performances at both the Konzerthaus and the Philharmonie in Berlin. She has already performed an impressive array of operatic roles and has forthcoming engagements in Belgrade, Milan and Oslo.
