About Gift Aid
The Gift Aid scheme allows Oxford Lieder as a charity to claim a refund on tax the donor has paid on the money given. If you are a U.K. taxpayer and wish to make your donation through Gift Aid, we can claim from Inland Revenue an extra 28 pence for each £1 you give, until April 2008. This means that £100 can be turned into £128. (N.B. The new 21% basic rate tax from April 2008 means less for charities, 27p to the £1). As long as donations are made through Gift Aid it does not cost you any extra. You must be paying sufficient tax to cover your donation. Higher rate taxpayers can claim partial tax relief on each donation.
So, if you want your donation to be worth more, Gift Aid it. Download or ask for our Gift Aid declaration confirming that you are willing for us to recover the tax, sign and date it, and return to Oxford Lieder, 37 Fairacres Road, Oxford OX4 1TH. It is that simple.
A Standing Order Form is also available if you wish to make a regular annual donation.
