George Parris

Conductor


George Parris (b. 1993) is a British conductor and singer, currently based between the UK and Finland. He read Music at Cambridge Univeristy, followed by a Master’s Degree in Musicology at Oxford University where he sang as a Lay Clerk with the Choir of Magdalen College. Further studies in conducting have now taken him to the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, where he is also member of the Helsinki Chamber Choir.

Parris has received a Certificate of Merit from the Elgar Society and commendation from other societies for his commitment to the performance of British music. In 2018 he was invited to work with the Croatian Radio-television Choir and to observe the Danish National Vocal Ensemble, the Latvian Radio Choir, and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir.
