55. Beethoven Op. 130: Albion Quartet

The electrifying Albion Quartet - who gave a stunning performance of the Dvořák Piano Quintet with Christopher Glynn at the 2018 Festival - play Beethoven’s late masterpiece, the String Quartet in B flat major Op.130. They perform it with Beethoven’s original finale, the famous ‘Grosse Fuge’, that is still as arresting today as it was when it was first heard in 1826.

String QuartetFormed in 2016, the Albion Quartet brings together four of the UKʼs exceptional young string players who are establishing themselves rapidly on the international stage.
