The wonderful Austrian soprano Christina Gansch, whose stunning performance at the 2019 BBC Proms was universally acclaimed, returns for a recital with Oxford Lieder’s Artistic Director, Sholto Kynoch. Their programme includes Berg’s luxuriously romantic Seven Early Songs, alongside folk-inspired early songs of Gustav Mahler and songs by Robert Schumann.

Austrian soprano Christina Gansch is the winner of the 2014 Kathleen Ferrier Award and is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. In the 2019/20 season Christina makes her debut at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich as Gretel Hansel und Gretel; Marzelline Fidelio for the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and in a new production for the Glyndebourne Festival and the title role in a new production of Rodelinda for the Händel-Festspiele Göttingen.
