Graham Johnson is internationally renowned as pianist, scholar and pedagogue. Today he shares his experience and insights with our Mastercourse students.

Our two venues are only a few minutes’ walk from each other and observers are welcome to move between sessions with Joan Rodgers and Graham Johnson, which run concurrently.

Internationally renowned, Joan Rodgers is equally established in opera, concert, and as a recitalist. After graduating from the University of Liverpool with an Honours degree in Russian she entered the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and in 1981 she won the Kathleen Ferrier Memorial Scholarship. Described as "that peerless song accompanist” by the Daily Telegraph (November 2015) Graham Johnson is recognised as one of the world’s leading vocal accompanists. Born in Rhodesia, he came to London to study in 1967. After leaving the Royal Academy of Music, his teachers included Gerald Moore and Geoffrey Parsons.
