Simon Lepper, Head of Collaborative Piano at the Royal College of Music, is renowned as a teacher and pedagogue as well as one of today’s leading song pianists. We are delighted to welcome him as this year’s final guest tutor.


Our two venues are only a few minutes’ walk from each other and observers are welcome to move between sessions with Joan Rodgers and Simon Lepper, which run concurrently.

Internationally renowned, Joan Rodgers is equally established in opera, concert, and as a recitalist. She has appeared in concert with conductors including Solti, Barenboim, Mehta, Harnoncourt, Mackerras, Ashkenazy, Salonen and Rattle and has been a regular guest at the BBC Proms. Operatic engagements have included engagements at the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Opera North and Glyndebourne in Britain, Paris, Munich, Brussels, Amsterdam and Vienna in Europe, and the Metropolitan Opera, New York. Simon Lepper

Simon Lepper

Pianist

Simon read music at King’s College, Cambridge before studying piano accompaniment with Michael Dussek at the Royal Academy of Music and later with Ruben Lifschitz at the Fondation Royaumont. He is a currently professor of collaborative piano and a vocal repertoire coach at the Royal College of Music, London where he also in charge of the collaboarative piano course.
