Olaf Bär / Julius Drake
22 October 2005, 20:00
Schumann's Op. 39 Liederkreis will form the centre of this evening's programme, and no performer is in a better position to show it in its best light than baritone Olaf Bär, whose recording of the work with the late Geoffrey Parsons is considered 'definitive'. Julius Drake is one of the country's leading accompanists, and is welcomed back to the Festival after his three memorable appearances last year.
