Susan Young / Maciek O'Shea / Iain Farrington
28 October 2005, 20:00

Oxford Lieder founders Susan Young (winner of the 2001 Oxford Music Festival Song Recital Prize) & Maciek O'Shea (winner of the 2005 Thames Valley Young Musicians' Platform) are joined by acclaimed pianist Iain Farrington. Their programme focuses on Schumann's most substantial cycle, Myrthen, written as a wedding gift for his wife Clara. It is rarely heard in its complete form, requiring as it does two singers, although it contains many of Schumann's most popular songs.
