The first in our lunchtime series surveying Fauré complete songs. Each concert also features songs by Franz Schubert. Today two exciting artists, former winners of the Oxford Lieder Young Artist Platform, get the series underway.

Victor Sicard


French Baritone, Victor Sicard, was born in La Rochelle, France. He studied Musicologie at Tours University (France) before training on the Opera Course of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and at the National Opera Studio (NOS). Victor’s studies at the NOS were financed by the Royal Opera House. Anna Cardona is the winner of the accompanist prize at Guildhall Gold Medal 2013, winner of the MBF accompanist’s prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Competition 2010 and selected one of the duos (together with baritone Victor Sicard) of the Oxford Lieder Young Artist Platform 2011.
