A special free event for our Pass holders. Birgid Steinberger accompanies herself on the guitar in stunning German and Austrian folksongs. Those who came to the equivalent evening in 2014 will remember how magical it was.
Open to Festival Pass holders only.
SopranoBirgid Steinberger was born in Burghausen, Bavaria and received her musical training in Salzburg, Hanover and Basel. She made her operatic debut at the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele as Despina in Così fan tutte. After an engagement at the Basel Opera, she became a soloist in the ensemble of the Wiener Staatsoper and Volksoper, where she soon became an audience favourite, performing in opera and operetta with equal success.
