Sarah Walker: Song Cycle
19 October 2016, 14:30 - 17:00

In a public masterclass, world-renowned mezzo-soprano Sarah Walker leads four talented young duos through Schumann's Eichendorff Liederkreis, Op.39. Those who remember her survey of Winterreise in 2014 will not want to miss this illuminating afternoon, studying not only the songs themselves, but the art of performance and the challenges in performing a song cycle.
The Liederkreis itself, one of Schumann's masterpieces, will also be heard in the concert at 7.30pm this evening. Or add yourself to the waiting list for Felicity Lott's performance on 26th October.
