James Gilchrist and Anna Tilbrook, long favourites at the Festival, perform Schuman's 1840 settings of Robert Reinick, Six Poems from the Songbook of a Painter (Reinick was also a gifted painter). They also include songs by Mahler and Brahms.
James Gilchrist will also be performing Bach cantatas at New College Ante Chapel on 21st October and at our Festive Finale at Saint John the Evangelist on 29th October.
Festal supper will be available from 6:30pm every evening (except Thursday 20th). Enjoy a delicious hot main meal and side dish between the afternoon and evening recitals for just £11. Our food partners this year are the Vaults & Garden Café, The Oxford University Club, and St Stephen’s House. Please book by midnight the day before by clicking here.
