This concert represents the culmination of an intensive week of song immersion for eighteen exceptional young musicians. Over the week, they work each day with course leader Wolfgang Holzmair as well as other prestigious guest tutors. This concert is always a Festival highlight, with outstanding emerging stars and a richly varied programme.

This concert will be in two parts with a one-hour lunch interval.

Wolfgang Holzmair was born in Vöcklabruck, Austria, and studied at the Vienna Academy of Music and Dramatic Art with Hilde Rössel-Majdan (voice) and Erik Werba (lied). He has performed in recital throughout the world with regular appearances in London, Vienna, Lisbon, Amsterdam, New York, Washington, at the Risör Festival (Norway), BathMozart Festival and Oxford Lieder Festival (UK), Menuhin Festival (Switzerland), Bregenz Festival and Carinthian Summer Festival (Austria).
