The Albion Quartet was founded in 2016 by four renowned string players, and has quickly established itself as one of today’s leading ensembles. Together with Christopher Glynn, they perform Dvořák’s evergreen Piano Quintet, alongside the Meditation by Josef Suk, who studied with Dvořák and married his daughter.

Formed in 2016, the Albion Quartet brings together four of the UKʼs exceptional young string players who are establishing themselves rapidly on the international stage. Having made their debuts last season at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam as well as the Auditorium du Louvre in Paris, the 2018/19 season sees the Albion Quartetʼs debuts at the Wigmore Hall and at Town Hall/Symphony Hall Birmingham, as well as the release of the first disc of their Dvořák cycle for Signum records. Christopher Glynn is a Grammy award-winning pianist and accompanist, working with leading singers, instrumentalists and ensembles in concerts, broadcasts and recordings throughout the world. He is also Artistic Director of the Ryedale Festival, programming around 60 events each year in the many beautiful and historic venues of Ryedale, North Yorkshire.
