Robin Bowman shares his vast experience as the former Head of Voice at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in a masterclass for music students who are planning to apply to music college. Robin discusses not only musical matters but also what to expect from and how best to deal with the audition process. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Robin Bowman, born in London in 1948, studied as a musicologist at King’s College London under Thurston Dart between 1966 and 1971, whilst also pursing performance studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. From 1973 until 1985 he was a music lecturer at the University of Southampton, where one of his main tasks was the establishment of weekly performance seminars as part of the core undergraduate programme.
