Alessandro Fisher is a former Oxford Lieder Young Artist (2013). He won the Kathleen Ferrier Award in 2016 and has recently been appointed a BBC New Generation Artist. We are delighted to welcome him back, after a superb Festival recital in 2018, to perform Schubert’s great cycle Die schöne Müllerin.

Winner of First Prize at the 2016 Kathleen Ferrier Awards and an Associate Artist of Classical Opera, Alessandro Fisher joins the BBC New Generation Artist Scheme in September 2018. A graduate of London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Alessandro Fisher read Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge, where he was a Choral Scholar at Clare College. Sholto Kynoch


Sholto Kynoch is a sought-after pianist who specialises in chamber music and song accompaniment. In addition to a busy performance schedule and a fast-growing discography, he is the founder and director of the Oxford Lieder Festival, the UK’s most renowned song festival, which recently won a prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Award.
