The Oxford Lieder Festival 2013: 11th-26th October

BOOKING FOR THE OXFORD LIEDER FESTIVAL IS NOW OPEN.

The twelfth Oxford Lieder Festival runs from 11th-26th October. Bathed in autumnal colours, Oxford welcomes singers, pianists, speakers, teachers and of course audiences from around the world. We explore the songs of Britten, conclude our three-year project to perform and record the complete songs of Hugo Wolf, have various study events around the great poet and polymath Goethe, and of course feature many of the staple works of the song repertoire.

Singers will include: Birgid Steinberger (11th), Sylvia Schwartz (13th), Roderick Williams (14th & 16th), Adrian Thompson (14th), Sir Willard White (15th), Sophie Bevan (17th), Andrew Kennedy (17th), Robert Murray (18th), Mark Stone (18th), Stephan Loges (19th), James Bowman (20th), Joan Rodgers (21st), Wolfgang Holzmair (22nd), Toby Spence (23rd), Christoph Prégardien (25th), and Kate Royal (26th). We also welcome pianists Imogen Cooper, Andrew West, Roger Vignoles, Michael Dussek, Julius Drake, Eugene Asti and others.
