Den blomstrende Sommer (1877)

Part of a series or song cycle:

Farlige Drømme, seks digte af Holger H. H. Drachmanns “Tannhäuser” (Dangerous Dreams, 6 poems from H.H.H. Drachmann’s ‘Tannhäuser’)

Den blomstrende Sommer

Den blomstrende Sommer blev kædet til Høst,
Til Død, hvad der var ilive.
Sorg skal følge paa Lyst,
Stille, Du bankende Bryst!
Kun de evige Love skal blive.
Venner, ræk Haand over Graven hen;
Den Døde kommer ej mer igen,
Men Aanden taler fra Rummet,
Naar Læben her er forstummet.
