Ticket FAQ & Help

Tickets FAQ

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be bought online via this website, or by phone on 01865 591 276 (Monday - Friday, 12:00 - 17:00). Depending on the event and availability, sometimes tickets will be available on the door; however for popular events like Festival opening concerts featuring major international artists, the event may well be sold out well in advance. Book early to avoid disappointment. Please note that we are unable to accept card payments for tickets sold on the door.

How do I get my tickets?

When you purchase your tickets online or via phone, you will have the option of being sent your tickets as e-Tickets, pick up physical tickets on the door, or ask for them to be sent via post. Please note, tickets can only be sent out via post well in advance of the event itself, and so last minute purchases will almost always be only available to pickup on the night or via e-Ticket. Remember to leave yourself a few extra minutes to pickup your tickets prior to the event start!

What are festival/weekend passes?

Festival and Weekend passes represent the best value for money, and allow you come to any concert or event in the time range specified on the ticket. Festival passes are a great way to attend the annual festival, giving you full flexibility in which concerts you'd like to attend. Festival passes are only available in advance, are limited in number and are posted out before the festival begins. Festival passes are not available as e-Tickets.

What are e-Tickets?

e-Tickets are electronic tickets in PDF format (.pdf) sent to you via email attachment when you purchase online. To use your ticket, either print out the ticket and bring it with you, or if you have a smart phone with a screen, make sure you can access the PDF file via your email. An e-Ticket has a 2D barcode (often called a QR code) which will need to be scanned on entrance, so do ensure you can view the 2D barcode.

Do you offer student discounts?

We offer £5 student tickets on the door of ticketed events. We are unable to sell tickets with student discounts online or over the phone.

Do you offer group discounts?

If booking ten or more tickets for a single event, please contact us on 01865 591 276 in advance for possible group discount options. We may not be able to offer group discounts for highly subscribed events.

I've bought a ticket online, but my tickets haven't arrived!

If you've purchased e-Tickets and they haven't arrived, please check your email's junk/spam folder - if nothing is there, please feel free to email [email protected] or phone 01865 591 276. Please include your name, postcode, email address and date of attempted purchase, and we will endeavour to sort out the issue as soon as possible.

Is there a waiting list if a concert is sold out?

Due to high demand, we strongly recommend booking tickets early to avoid disappointment. Where concerts sell out, you can join the waiting list for returned tickets at our Box Office. On the day of a sold-out concert, a new waiting list is opened at the venue box office 45 minutes prior to the start of a concert. Five minutes before the start of the concert, any available seats are then offered to this new waiting list.

Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend a concert?

Tickets can only be refunded when a concert is sold out and your ticket is re-sold. In the event of illness and a change in performer or concert programme up to two days prior to the concert, ticket refunds are not available.

Is it possible to reserve a seat if I am disabled?

If you require easy access seats, please inform Oxford Lieder in advance and we will endeavour to reserve ground floor seats for you.
